No. On Meta Glasses the lenses are passive — the camera, open-ear speakers, microphones, touch controls, and Meta AI all live in the frame, not the lens. Adding prescription lenses does not affect any smart features.

Meta's own prescription FAQ tells Meta Glasses owners they can add prescription lenses later at "any optician of your choice," and Meta's Rx Lens Swap program replaces a Meta Glasses frame damaged during lens installation by a licensed optician or optical lab, for one year. We have not seen a Meta page that says third-party lenses void the standard 12-month warranty. Tajima Direct is independent and not affiliated with Meta, Ray-Ban or EssilorLuxottica, so we recommend reviewing the current warranty terms for your glasses.

Two models: the Meta Ray-Ban Display, whose prescription is embedded in the display lens when it is made and can't be changed, and the Oakley Meta Vanguard, which uses a single shield lens. Every Meta Glasses style (Adventurer, Fury, Starfire, Capri and Nova) is a standard two-lens frame we can fit, and we also make lenses for Ray-Ban Meta and the Oakley Meta HSTN.

Meta's lenses use plastic and polycarbonate; ours are made from Trivex or patented Tajima Urethane™ for far sharper, lighter, more durable optics. For prescriptions we use the most advanced digital Rx lens designs for a sharper, more comfortable view across the entire lens — and all premium coatings are included, higher quality than Meta's and with no upcharge for coating options.

You'll receive a prepaid shipping label (or a box) within 1 business day of ordering. Once your frames reach our lab, your new lenses are completed and shipped back within an estimated 7-12 business days. Shipping to and from the lab isn't included in that estimate.

Yes. You can use an HSA/FSA card directly at checkout, and we provide an itemized receipt you can submit for insurance reimbursement.

Yes — prescription lenses require your Meta Glasses frames to be sent in so we can trace and custom-cut the lenses to fit precisely. At checkout you can choose a prepaid label for your own box, or have us send you a prepaid shipping box with a return label inside.

Yes. Meta's own prescription service has published limits (Meta Glasses stop at +2.25 total power, and orders placed on Meta.com at −6.00/+6.00), and it does not offer prism. Tajima Direct regularly fills prescriptions beyond those limits, including prism, high-index and progressives. If your prescription is very strong or unusual, email help@tajima-direct.com with your Rx before ordering and we'll confirm.

Yes, we always return your original lenses with the completed order.

All lenses are made to your prescription, coated, then custom cut and installed in our state-of-the-art lab in Southern California.

Yes, we ship most anywhere in the world. We do not offer free shipping outside of the USA. If you need to send in your frames, choose the 2 Labels option and we'll email you a prepaid label, or choose 1 Label and ship your frames to us yourself at: Tajima Direct, 4630 Stellrecht Circle, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, USA.

If you're not 100% satisfied with your new lenses, we'll give you a full refund with free return shipping. You have 30 days from when you receive your new lenses to claim your return.
